This is a single cask Caol Ila bottled by Hunter Laing in The Old Malt Cask series, released for the series' 25th anniversary in October 2023. The spirit was distilled in August 2010 and matured for 13 years in a sherry butt.
It was bottled at 50% ABV without added colour, and the cask yielded 769 bottles.
The nose offers stewed fruit, dark chocolate, beach bonfire and leather. On the palate come ginger, dark fruit, lemon peel, Islay peat smoke and toasted oak. The finish is long, with smoke and spice.
