This is a 15 year old Caol Ila from Islay, bottled by Gordon & MacPhail for the Spirit of Scotland series at 57% ABV. It was distilled in 2010 and bottled in 2025.
It matured in a single first-fill sherry butt, number 307585, which yielded 613 bottles. The sherry adds depth and sweetness to the distillery's coastal character, with a fruit-led twist.
Less overtly smoky, it shows plenty of fruit and spice.
