This is a single malt from Caol Ila on Islay, distilled on 9 April 2008 and bottled on 17 June 2025 after 17 years in a first fill Amontillado sherry hogshead. It is bottled at a cask strength of 51.9% ABV by Best Dram.
The nose opens with blossom honey, sun-dried raisins and fresh orange, with a little milk chocolate, oak spice and light smoke. The palate is full and melting, with milk chocolate, a sharp ginger note, darker fruit and dry oak. The finish shows firm tannins, pepper and dry oak, with dark chocolate.
