Caol Ila 18 Year Old is an Islay single malt from the distillery's core range, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It is described as malty and thick, with the smoke and phenols that mark Caol Ila, but without extreme levels of peat.
On the nose it is aromatic and herbal, with grassy notes and creamy malt. The palate shows a refined, leafy sweetness, with well-integrated oak, smoke, oil and peat over barley. The finish is long, with herbal notes, gentle smoke, soft peat and oily wood.
