Caol Ila – 1995-2020 25 Year Old Barrel Selection (59.8%)

A 25-year-old single cask Caol Ila from Islay, distilled in 1995 and bottled in 2020 at a cask strength of 59.8% ABV. Wilson & Morgan released it in their Barrel Selection. The whisky matured in a refill Oloroso sherry butt, which yielded 240 bottles. The long maturation joins peated Caol Ila malt with sherry cask influence without covering the smoke. Oloroso, peat smoke, dark fruit, malt, spice, salt, oak and maritime Islay notes mark this bottling.
