Caol Ila – 2011-2022 10 Year Old Douglas Laing Old Particular Single Cask (70cl, 48.4%)

This is a single cask Caol Ila, an Islay single malt distilled in 2011 and released in 2022 at 10 years old by the independent bottler Douglas Laing as part of their Old Particular series. It is sold in a 70cl bottle. It matured in a refill hogshead that yielded 312 bottles. Douglas Laing bottled it at 48.4% ABV, a strength they favour and a close match for 85 Proof in the old imperial measure, without colouring or chill filtration.
