This single cask Caol Ila was bottled by the Uncharted Whisky Company. It was distilled in 2012 and bottled in 2026 at 14 years old, 55% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. The whisky matured in two first fill Tokaji casks, bringing Hungarian sweet wine to an Islay malt.
The nose shows stone fruits, floral notes, fine oak and buttery brioche, with a subtle coastal freshness. The palate repeats the stone fruit, floral, oak and brioche notes, with a sweetness that never dominates and a rich texture. The finish is long, with fruit, spice and a maritime depth.
