Caol Ila Moch is a single malt from Islay, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle.
The distillery stands right on the rugged shore and was built in 1846 by Hector Henderson. Its name translates as Sound of Islay. Since 1987 it has belonged to UDV, now part of the Diageo group.
Caol Ila is known for an intense peatiness, and blenders have long sought out its distinctive character.
