This is a single cask Caol Ila from Islay, bottled by Sansibar at cask strength, 49.8% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. The whisky matured in a bourbon cask.
The nose is fresh, maritime and peaty, with lemon zest, green apple and a hint of vanilla. On the palate, smoke and sea salt lead, followed by sweet lemon cream, vanilla, light caramel and a little malt. The finish is medium to long and clean, with citrus, light smoke and fine vanilla oak.
