This is a 12 year old Cardhu single malt, released as a 200th anniversary bottling and matured in wine casks. It is bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is full-bodied and rich, with a pleasing sweetness, wisps of smoke, apple peel and bruised pears. The palate is soft and round, with gentle sweetness, mild peat and a little sweet smoke. The finish is long and dry, with malt, peat smoke and a hint of spice.
