A 14 year old Cardhu single malt, released as part of the 2021 Special Release. It was matured in wood that previously held wine, which gives a warm, honeyed sweetness. The colour is bright polished brass and the body light to medium.
On the nose it is fresh and lightly fruity, with white grape, lychee, green apple, pear and a little orange peel. The palate is soft and velvety, with homemade biscuits, violets and wine-cooked apple and pear. The finish is short, sweet and warm, with a touch of white pepper when water is added.
