This is a 16 year old Cardhu single malt, bottled as part of the 2022 Special Release in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky was finished in Jamaican pot still rum casks, which gives it a honeyed, fruit-led character with a tropical sweetness.
The nose opens fresh, with lemon zest and white grapes alongside pink grapefruit. The palate is creamy and full bodied, with a tingle on the tongue and a fruity, malty sweetness that recalls home made rum toffee.
