Cardhu 16 Years Old Special Release 2022 is a single malt Scotch whisky from the Cardhu Distillery, in a 70cl bottle at 58% ABV. The colour is pale gold.
The nose begins with lemon zest and white grape, with pink grapefruit and ripe mango over a faintly mossy base that moves towards freshly ironed linen, and a spiced, woody note above. A drop of water dries these aromas and adds white pepper.
The palate is creamy, smooth and full, sweet at first, with homemade rum toffee, spiced pineapple, green banana and clean, dry oak. The finish is fairly short, sweet and peppery.
