Cardhu – 18 Year Old

Cardhu 18 Year Old is a Speyside single malt from the distillery once called Cardow, set high on the hills on the north side of the Spey Valley. It comes in an elegant, decanter-like bottle with a beechwood stopper. The malt is described as typical of Speyside: approachable, smooth, sweet and mellow, with good body and length. Its taste is clean and often called silky. Tasting notes mention vanilla fudge, sweet malt, apples and oranges, then a sweet, spicy palate with plenty of honey, toffee and caramel.
