This is Cardhu 18 Years, a single malt Scotch whisky bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle.
The distillery began life under the name Cardow, Gaelic for black rock, and the spelling changed to Cardhu when its first single malt was launched, bringing it closer to the way the name is spoken. The aim was a mild, agreeable malt able to stand alongside the established names. It found its strongest following in France and Spain. Only the best casks were chosen for this 18 year old.
