This is a Cardhu Special Release, a Speyside single malt Scotch whisky aged for 11 years. It is bottled at a cask-strength-style 56% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
On the nose it shows fresh orchard pear, green apple, grape and pineapple, with a trace of lemon peel over a gentle mossy base. The texture is creamy and smooth, and the taste moves from sweet to juicy, with a buttery richness.
The finish is spicy and of good length, with lingering warmth.
