Cardrona – Growing Wings Breckenridge Single Cask (35cl, 65.7%)

This is a five-year-old single cask whisky from Cardrona in New Zealand, bottled at a cask strength of 65.7% in a 35cl bottle. Growing Wings marks five years since the first spirit was laid down at the distillery. It was aged in a single ex-bourbon barrel, filled in Cardrona's first year of distilling, and 452 bottles were produced. It is bottled with natural colour and without chill filtration. The whisky is described as rich and buttery, with American oak vanilla on the nose and stewed pears on the palate.
