Cardrona 'Growing Wings' Single Malt Whisky (37.5cl)

Cardrona 'Growing Wings' is a cask-strength, 5 year old single malt from Cardrona Distillery in the Cardrona Valley, Central Otago, New Zealand. It comes in a 37.5cl bottle and marks five years since the first spirit was laid down at the distillery. It is a marriage of select ex-Oloroso sherry butts and ex-bourbon barrels in the distillery's Solera. It is bottled non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. The nose is vanilla bean, treacle, toasted pecans, sweet malt and gentle oak. The palate brings pecan pie, vanilla-bean cream, dark toffee, dried fruit and warming cask spice. The finish is long, with vanilla, treacle, roasted pecan and sherry spice.
