A Sardinian red wine from the Carignano grape, grown in the Sulcis area. It has an intense ruby colour tending to garnet with age. The nose offers ripe forest fruits, plums, spice, tobacco and chocolate from wood ageing. On the palate it is robust yet harmonious, with balanced tannins after 18 months in oak casks, and a notable aromatic persistence with red fruit and spice. It suits red meats, game and aged cheeses.
