Carnlough 6 Year Old Single Pot Still Cask 9 (46%)

This is a 6 year old single pot still whiskey from Carnlough, bottled from a single cask, Cask 9, at 46% ABV. It was first aged in ex-bourbon casks. The whiskey was then finished at sea in a Madeira quarter cask. The movement of the waves increases the contact between spirit and wood, which lets the cask give more flavour to the whiskey. Carnlough's small-batch whiskeys celebrate Ann 'Nanny' Murray, born in Waterfoot in 1747 and remembered across the Glens of Antrim as a distiller of poteen.
