Carpano Classico Vermouth (37.5cl, 16%)

Carpano Classico is an Italian sweet vermouth from Carpano in Turin, bottled at 16% ABV in a 37.5cl half bottle. It is wine-based and made with cocktails in mind, for drinks in which the spirit leads and the vermouth supports. The style is light and fairly dry, with citrus brightness and gentle wormwood. The nose offers citrus peel, light caramel, vanilla and bittering herbs. On the palate it is spicy and citrusy, with clove, orange, gentian and soft wormwood. The finish is balanced, bittersweet, dry and herbal. It suits a Negroni, a Manhattan or an Americano, or simply tonic and lemon.
