Carpano Dry Vermouth (75cl, 18%)

Carpano Dry Vermouth is an Italian dry vermouth from Turin, bottled at 18% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It is crisp, herbal and citrus-driven, a style suited to cocktails such as the Martini, Gibson and Vesper where the gin or vodka should stay in the lead. It leans more aromatic than a clean, floral style of dry vermouth, with incense, candied fruit and a deeper herbal structure. On the nose there is candied fruit, coriander, incense, lemon and alpine herbs. The palate is dry and structured, with citrus, juniper, gentian and light wormwood, finishing clean and slightly saline with a lingering herbal bitterness.
