A Venezuelan dark rum distilled at the historic Carupano distillery on the coastal region of Carúpano. It is aged for 12 years in selected oak barrels.
The rum has an intense amber colour and a complex structure. The nose shows caramel, vanilla, dried fruit, tobacco and leather. On the palate it is soft yet robust, with molasses and vanilla, nutmeg, black pepper and a subtle toasted wood and bitter chocolate finish.
It is suited to sipping neat or as the base for refined, structured cocktails.
