Casey Jones Total Eclipse Moonshine (75cl, 50%)

Casey Jones Total Eclipse is an unaged moonshine from Casey Jones Distillery in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, bottled at 50% ABV in a 75cl bottle. The mash is half Kentucky corn and half cane, and it is distilled in handmade square copper pot stills that copy the design of the original Prohibition-era Casey Jones still. It was created for the total solar eclipse of 21 August 2017, with the distillery sitting about two miles from the point of greatest totality. The Kentucky Senate named it the Official Drink of the 2017 Solar Eclipse, and it was reissued for the 2024 eclipse. The entry is velvety with a slight taste of sweet corn, followed by a warming finish that the distillery calls a Kentucky Hug.
