Chichibu 10 Years Old is a single malt from Ichiro Akuto's Chichibu distillery in Japan, distilled in 2015 and bottled in 2025 at 50.5% ABV. It comes five years after The First Ten and is the distillery's second release with an age statement.
It matured for at least ten years, mainly in former bourbon casks, and is a limited release.
The nose is lively and fruity, with orange peel, peach and redcurrants alongside vanilla and pale oak. The palate is soft and rich, with ripe fruit, creamy vanilla sweetness, malt and white pepper. The finish is medium to long, with toasted malt, gentle oak spice and lingering fruit sweetness.
