Chichibu 10 Year Old is a lightly peated Japanese single malt bottled at 50.5% in a 700ml bottle. It is only the second time the distillery has released a stand-alone 10 year old, and it is a limited edition.
The whisky was matured for a minimum of 10 years, primarily in ex-bourbon barrels.
The nose is lightly smoky, with honey candies, vanilla, pineapple and citrus peel. The palate shows orange peel, peach, red currant, white pepper and roasted malt, with pastry cream and bittersweet grapefruit.
