This is Chichibu 10 Year Old, a lightly peated Japanese single malt bottled at 50.5% in a 70cl bottle. It is a limited edition, and only the second stand-alone 10 year old released by the Chichibu distillery.
It was matured for a minimum of 10 years, primarily in ex-bourbon barrels.
The nose is lightly smoky, with honey candies, vanilla, pineapple and citrus peel. On the palate come orange peel, peach, red currant, white pepper and roasted malt, with pastry cream and bittersweet grapefruit.
