This is a single cask Chichibu from Japan, distilled in 2015 and bottled in 2024 at 63% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. It spent nine years in virgin French oak and is limited to around 200 bottles.
Chichibu was opened in 2008 by Ichiro Akuto, whose grandfather founded the Hanyu distillery in the 1940s. The equipment was brought in from Scotland, and the barley comes from England and Germany.
