This is a three-year-old Japanese single malt from Chichibu, distilled in 2008 and bottled in 2011 at 61.8% ABV. It is part of the Ichiro's Malt series, in the edition called The First.
The whisky matured in bourbon barrels, and 7,400 bottles were filled. It comes in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is typically described as full of vanilla, with lemon sherbet, hints of cigar leaf and a floral edge. On the palate it is sweet, with vanilla, lemon, some oak, a little spice and a malty character. The finish is of medium length, slightly spicy and oaky, with vanilla and citrus lingering.
