Chichibu 7EVEN Gods of Fortune Edition 1 Ebisu is a Japanese single malt in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 64.5% vol. It is the first release in a series of seven whiskies, to be issued one at a time up to 2025.
The series draws on the seven gods of wealth, celebrated in Japan since the Middle Ages, particularly around the new year. Ebisu is the god of luck, always laughing and dressed as a fisherman, and he stands for safe sailing and plentiful fishing. The whisky is matured in ex-bourbon casks.
