Chichibu 7EVEN Gods of Fortune Edition 2 Hotei is the second release in a series of seven Japanese whiskies, which are due to appear one by one up to 2025. It was matured in ex-bourbon casks and is bottled at 62.6% in a 70cl bottle.
The series draws on the seven gods of wealth, who have been celebrated in Japan since the Middle Ages, especially around the new year. Hotei is the god of joy and comfort, known in Japan as a plump, ever-cheerful Buddha.
