This is an eight-year-old Chichibu single malt, distilled in 2015 and bottled in 2023 at a cask strength of 62.8%. It comes in a 70cl bottle and is non-chill-filtered with no added colour. The whisky matured in a single cask that previously held Japanese Koshu white wine, and it yielded 274 bottles. It was bottled for the New Vibrations collection of La Maison du Whisky. Tasting notes describe a lively nose of pepper, lemon and vanilla. The palate is full and intense, with chocolate and malty bitterness alongside floral and exotic fruit notes. The long finish brings concentrated fruit, spice and honey, with faint medicinal, creamy and rustic touches.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
