This is an eight-year-old Japanese single malt from Chichibu, bottled by Adelphi in 2024 from a single first-fill bourbon barrel, number 3822. It was distilled in 2014 and bottled at a cask strength of 56.4%, in a run of 215 bottles.
The nose offers ripe peach, apricot and candied orange peel, with vanilla cream, light honey and a little toasted oak. On the palate it is creamy, with yellow fruit, caramel and malty sweetness, lifted by white pepper, nutmeg and clove. The finish is long and warm, with lasting fruit sweetness, gentle spice and dry oak.
