Chichibu Australia Edition 2024 is a Japanese single malt made for Australia, in a 70cl bottle. Only 480 bottles were released.
Chichibu Distillery was founded in 2007 by Ichiro Akuto, grandson of the founder of Hanyu Distillery. It sits in the town of Chichibu, around 100 km north of Tokyo, and keeps production small. Its equipment includes mizunara oak washbacks and hand-stirred mashtuns. A second, larger distillery opened in 2019.
