Chichibu Distillery – Ichiro's Malt Wine Wood Reserve Pure Malt Japanese Whisky (70cl, 46%)

Wine Wood Reserve is part of the Ichiro's Malt series, a pure malt Japanese whisky in a 70cl bottle at 46% ABV. It contains whisky from the now closed Hanyu distillery, and was matured, vatted and bottled at the Chichibu distillery. The whisky was finished in French wine casks. The nose brings black liquorice, creamy malt and chocolate orange. On the palate there are oily walnuts, red berry sweetness and white pepper. The finish is long, with sherry spices and a little chocolate.
