Chichibu Ichiro Malt & Grain is a blended Japanese whisky bottled at 46% vol. in a 70cl bottle. Alongside spirit from the Chichibu distillery it contains eight other distillates from Scotland, Ireland, England, the USA and Canada. The distilleries are kept confidential, and the average age is 10 years.
The nose offers apricot and vineyard peach with caramel and vanilla, some tobacco and light banana and lime. The palate shows toffee, lemon, mango, papaya and passion fruit, with fresh-cut grass, roasted chestnuts, sweet honey and gingerbread spice. Malt, pepper and tobacco come late. The finish is medium in length, with honey and black pepper.
