Chichibu – Ichiro's Malt Classical Edition (70cl, 48%)

This is the Classical Edition from Chichibu, a Japanese world blended whisky made from malt whiskies and bottled at 48% in a 70cl bottle. Ichiro Akuto opened the Chichibu distillery in 2008. The Classical Edition uses a larger share of malty whisky in the blend, which gives a softer, smokier whisky with a complex aroma. The nose is gentle smoke, oak, vanilla and caramel. The palate has sweet spice, fruity notes, oak, sherry and an earthy note. The finish is medium in length, fruity and spicy.
