Ichiro's Malt Double Distilleries 2021 Chichibu x Komagatake is a Japanese blended malt bottled at 53.5% in a 70cl bottle. It comes from a project between the two distilleries that began in 2015. Chosen casks were exchanged in secret and matured in the respective cellars, and the whisky from each setting was blended there into two new expressions. The outturn is 10,200 bottles. The nose is caramel sweetness, dusty old bookshelves and tropical fruit. The palate is sweet toffee with banana and pineapple. The finish is salty, with a hint of tropical fruit.
