Ichiro's Malt & Grain is a blend put together by Ichiro Akuto, founder of the Chichibu distillery. It is bottled at 46% ABV.
It marries whiskies from Ireland, Scotland, the USA, Canada and Japan, which is why it is known as a World Blended Whisky.
The nose offers juicy apricot, caramel, vanilla and citrus. On the palate there is toffee and caramel, gingerbread, vanilla and a peppery spice mix. The finish is of medium length, with honey, lemon and black pepper.
