Ichiro's Malt & Grain World Blend 2021 is a limited edition created by Ichiro Akuto, founder of the Chichibu distillery. It blends Scotch, Canadian rye, American bourbon, Irish whiskey and Ichiro's own Japanese single malt. The youngest whisky in the blend is ten years old.
It is bottled at 48% ABV, in natural colour and without chill filtration.
The nose is intensely fruity, with apricot, banana and citrus, plus vanilla and a hint of spicy oak. The palate is sweet and complex, with honey, caramel biscuits, vanilla and a peppery spice mix. The finish is long, with honey, lemon, a little oak and black pepper.
