Ichiro's Malt Mizunara Wood Reserve is a Japanese malt whisky from Chichibu, in a 70cl bottle at 46% vol. It matures exclusively in Mizunara casks, a wood known for developing complex, spicy aromas.
The colour is rich gold. The nose has sweet honey, fresh toast, citrus fruit and spice. The palate is rich and layered, with malt, honey, toffee and apples. The finish is long, spicy at first, then turning pleasantly sweet after a minute.
