Chichibu Ichiro's Malt Paris Edition 2024 is a Japanese single malt composed by Ichiro Akuto for La Maison du Whisky. Six washi-paper labels link Tokyo and Paris; this black one pairs the Meiji Jingu gate with the Arc de Triomphe. The whisky is the same in every bottle, across an edition of 2,484. Fifteen casks went into the vatting: twelve ex-bourbon, two Chibidaru quarter casks and one ex-red wine cask, averaging six to seven years old. It was bottled in 2024 at 50.5%, non-chill-filtered and without added colour. Light peat, lemon, menthol and vanilla on the nose. Dry grass, hay and pepper open the palate, followed by roasted bread, chestnut and dates. The finish is long, with coconut milk, candied pear, rosemary and spice.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
