This is a seven year old Chichibu single cask from the Lighthouse Series, selected for the German market. It was distilled on 25 May 2017 and bottled on 17 July 2024 at a cask strength of 65.5%.
The whisky spent its whole maturation in a single first fill bourbon cask, number 7843. It is non-chill-filtered and without colouring, and 200 bottles were filled worldwide.
The nose is intense vanilla, crème brûlée and banana pudding, with coconut, toasted oak, honey malt and fresh citrus peel. The palate is viscous and powerful, with caramel, butterscotch, grilled pineapple, ripe mango, ginger and white pepper. The finish is long and warm, with sweet vanilla cream.
