The Chichibu London Edition 2025 is the eighth release in the London series of Ichiro's Malt, bottled in 2025 at 50.5% ABV. It is a single malt made only at Chichibu in Japan, vmarried from ten casks, two of them holding heavily peated whisky. The casks were bourbon and oloroso.
The label was drawn by Raj Chavda for Elixir Distillers and continues the Musha-e series. It shows a warrior fighting a tora, the Japanese tiger, and its fluorescent details glow in the dark.
The nose opens with fresh mandarin and candied ginger, then vanilla cream, a little peat smoke, warm wood and a trace of honey. The palate is full and harmonious, with sweet citrus candy, dark chocolate and brown sugar, and oak spice that stays well integrated beside subtle smoke.
