Chichibu – On The Way Floor Malted 2024 (70cl, 54.5%)

On The Way is a Japanese single malt from Chichibu, the distillery founded in 2008 and run by Venture Whisky. This 2024 edition is part of the Ichiro's Malt series and was bottled in 2024 at 54.5% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. The barley is floor malted by hand, and only 12,000 bottles were released worldwide. The whisky is not chill-filtered and has no added colour. The nose offers green apple, citrus and a touch of malt. The palate brings sweet vanilla, spicy herbs and subtle oak, and the finish is long, with tingling spice and soft fruit.
