Chichibu – Paris Edition 2019 (70cl, 50.5%)

Chichibu Paris Edition 2019 is a Japanese single malt bottled at 50.5% ABV, in an edition of 1,757 bottles. It is a vatting of seven casks, all over six years old: one hogshead with a mizunara oak head and six bourbon casks. The character is floral and exotic, with a hint of peat. On the nose come exotic fruit, white flowers, gentle spice and light smoke. The palate is full and complex, with tropical fruit, the sandalwood notes of mizunara and spice. The finish is balanced, with light peat and a lingering spiciness.
