Chichibu Paris Edition 2019 is a Japanese single malt from Ichiro's Malt, bottled for La Maison du Whisky at 50.5% in a 70cl bottle. It was distilled in 2013 and bottled in 2019, and 1,757 bottles were filled.
The whisky is a vatting of six ex-bourbon barrels and one Mizunara hogshead.
The nose is soft, with stewed peach, vanilla, bourbon, yeast, chocolate and wood. The palate is lively, with malt, mandarin, melon, vanilla, peach and spices in balance with the wood. The finish is of medium length, with fruit, wood and a hint of smoke.
