Chichibu – Paris Edition 2022 (70cl, 51.5%)

Chichibu Paris Edition 2022 is a single malt Japanese whisky bottled for La Maison du Whisky, in a run of 1,900 bottles at 51.5%. It was matured in ex-bourbon and ex-peated Chichibu casks. The edition comes in 36 different labels, with artwork by Henri Rivière, a French artist. The nose combines pineapple, banana, malt, smoke, wood and grasses. The palate has an oily texture and a sweet start of yellow fruit, followed by malt, ginger and a touch of smoke. The finish is fairly long, leaning on wood and medicinal smoke.
