Chichibu Paris Edition 2025 Ginza is a limited bottling of 2,484 bottles at 50.5%. It is one of six labels inspired by postage stamps and Japanese kawaii culture, linking Tokyo and Paris, with Ginza paired with the Champs-Élysées. The cuvée marries whiskies of five to fourteen years from 17 casks, including new French oak, a Spanish ex-sherry cask, French ex-Bordeaux casks, an American oak hogshead and eight bourbon barrels, two of which held heavily peated whisky. It is lightly peated, non-chill-filtered and without added colour. Passion fruit, lychee and dark berries mark the nose. The palate is oily and peaty at first, with honey and wax, and the long finish brings gentian, mint, toffee and bourbon vanilla.

Tasting Notes

Nose

Rich and velvety: passion fruit, lychee, grapes and dark berries over a slightly bitter malt note, with cinnamon, dry leaves, porcini and prune

Palate

Oily, at first strongly peaty, lemony and peppery, then honey and wax and a creamier texture, with toast, rusk, barley porridge, mirabelle and plum

Finish

Long and concentrated with recurring malt; gentian, mint, eucalyptus and sage for freshness, then passion fruit, candied plum, toffee and bourbon vanilla

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
