Chichibu – Paris Edition 2025 Montmartre (70cl, 50.5%)

This is the 2025 Paris Edition from Chichibu, the Japanese distillery behind Ichiro's Malt, bottled at 50.5% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is named for Montmartre, its hill and its workshops, and continues the work of Ichiro Akuto. Chichibu has taken an artistic look at Paris since 2018, and this edition borrows from the look of a postage stamp. The whisky is a blend of Japanese single malts aged from 5 to 14 years, drawn from French oak, sherry, Bordeaux and bourbon casks, some of the bourbon very peaty. The bottles are numbered from 1 to 414. The palate is described as light and malty, with lasting fruity and spicy notes.
